Allergen immunotherapy or Allergy vaccine
It is a treatment method used to develop tolerance to allergens in children with asthma and/or allergic rhinitis and in some selected patients with atopic dermatitis. It reduces or eliminates the need for medication, prevents the development of new allergies and improves quality of life. Before deciding whether allergy vaccine treatment is appropriate, it should be evaluated whether the allergens detected by allergy skin tests really trigger the disease. Sublingual vaccines can be started after 3 years of age; Subcutaneous injection vaccines are recommended to be started after 5 years of age.
