Asthma in children
Asthma is caused by the combination of some genetic (hereditary) factors and negative environmental factors. Genetic factors are the presence of asthma in close relatives. Among the negative environmental factors, allergens can be counted in the first place. Is there a cure for childhood asthma?
In childhood asthma, recognizing whether the disease is allergic or not by skin tests is of great importance in terms of prevention, follow-up and treatment. First of all, protection against allergens and other possible triggers detected by allergy tests is of primary importance. In addition, it is very important to use daily drug treatments with the aim of reducing the frequency and severity of attacks and, if possible, completely eliminating the symptoms, to be under the control of the doctor regularly, to have examinations and pulmonary function measurements at regular intervals.
