Food allergy
Food allergies can be seen starting from infancy. It is estimated that about 6% of all children are likely to develop a food allergy by age 2.
Atopic dermatitis or Allergic eczema
Atopic dermatitis is one of the most common skin diseases of childhood. The disease starts within the first 6 months in 45% of affected individuals and within the first year in 60% of them.
Allergic Rhinitis (Hay fever)
Allergic rhinitis is a recurrent disease of the nose and upper respiratory tract and occurs with symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, itching on the palate.
Asthma
It is characterized by coughing, chest whistling (wheezing), and/or shortness of breath that comes in attacks or sometimes with exercise. Asthma in childhood is associated with allergies at a rate of 80%.
When should I consider ‘Allergy’ in my child?
- Recurrent rashes (eczema) on the cheeks and body since infancy - - Blood or snot in the poop, especially during infancy - Very severe colic pains under one year of age - Frequent vomiting under one year of age and gastric reflux that does not respond to treatment - Recurrent cough and / or wheezing attacks - Cough, wheezing or shortness of breath after exercise - Frequent upper respiratory tract infections – Frequent upper respiratory tract infections which ‘go to the chest’

He worked extensively in the field of pediatric allergy and pediatric immunology diseases. He received the title of "Associate Professor" in 2010 and "Professor" in 2017. Dr. Ayfer Yukselen published multiple research articles in the field of allergen immunotherapy, allergic rhinitis, food allergy and allergic asthma. She has also written reviews on the effectiveness and safety of allergen immunotherapy in children with allergic rhinitis and/or asthma.
